NetPulse is a Chrome extension that checks your internet speed and connection quality. This policy explains what data we handle and why. We keep it minimal.
The speed test runs inside your browser. It downloads and uploads small amounts of test data to/from public test servers (Cloudflare and OVH) to measure your speed, latency and network type. We do not read, collect, or transmit your browsing history, the websites you visit, page content, or any personal files. Your test results are stored only on your own device (browser local storage) so the popup can show your last reading.
If you create an account to unlock the paid version, we collect your email address and verify it with a one-time code (sent by email). We store your email and your subscription status on our server (Cloudflare D1) so we can keep you logged in and recognise that you have paid. We do not use your email for marketing.
To stop the free trial from being reset endlessly, we send a one-way hash of basic device characteristics (browser type, screen size, timezone) to our server. This is not reversible and does not identify you personally; it only counts free tests per device.
Payments are processed entirely by Razorpay. We only receive a confirmation that a payment succeeded. We never see or store your card, UPI, or bank details.
Each provider handles data under its own privacy policy.
We keep your email and subscription record for as long as your account exists. You can ask us to delete your data at any time by emailing the address below. We do not sell or share your personal data for advertising.
NetPulse is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
We may update this policy; any changes will be posted on this page.
